Father Mark Taheny gave a nine-minute homily at Star of the Sea parish in San Francisco on Sunday, March 29. He spoke of the faith of Martha and Mary while waiting for Lazarus to be raised from the dead. And of the message sent by John the Baptist from prison to Jesus: “Are you the one who is to come or are we to look for another?”

A 15-second excerpt:

“And so I was thinking we are like that as we are exercising social distancing in our homes. Think of yourselves this year like John the Baptist. You’re not in prison, but you’re at home. You’re all by yourself.”
