Covina – Stations of the Cross Special Event Benefit for The Homeless @ Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Apr 5 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Stations of the Cross at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 344 W. Workman St, Covina 91723 626-374-2410 on April 5. It will feature Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s  beautiful Stabat Mater sung by young choristers of Pueri Cantores San Gabriel Valley conducted by Patric Flahive and organist Erik Belshim at 7pm.  There is no charge for the event, a free will offering will collected to benefit the East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless.

FATHER ART WEHR, SJ

What is the Liturgy of the Hours? What is Christian Prayer? How are they different? How do I begin? Where did they originate? Why should I pray these prayers?

 

Father Art Wehr, S.J., was born in 1955 at the Presidio of San Francisco, the second of seven children of Art and Margaret Wehr.

He graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1977,and entered the Jesuits in 1979.

Ordained at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco in 1990, he

received a S.T.B. degree from the Gregorian University in Rome and a M.A. in Philosophy from Fordham University in New York.

He serves at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish as Associate Pastor.
