Junipero Serra School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and versatile performing arts teacher to work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to complete the school year. (June 15, 2013.) The candidate will be knowledgeable in the areas of speech, drama, and performance. The candidate will be responsible for the annual school talent show in February 2013, and for auditioning and preparing students for a spring musical.
Basic skills include strong classroom management skills, working with students on improvisation, vocal projection, presence on stage, and auditioning, choosing, and directing a cast in a stage performance.
Basic knowledge includes set design and set building, as well as behind the scenes skills in sound and lighting.
