The following came in a March 13 email from Jennifer Roback Morse.

I wrote to you earlier about the Ruth Institute annual three day pro-marriage conference here in San Diego for university students and young adults, called, “It Takes a Family to Raise a Village,”  or ITAF.  I want you to know that the deadline for application is coming up on March 15th, later this week.  So please, please, tell your students, interns, seminarians or other young adults who would benefit from the  ITAF program that they need to get on with it and apply now!!

This seminar-style conference brings together young adults, 18-30, for an intense inter-disciplinary, inter-faith program that will help them make an informed and compassionate case for natural marriage, one man, one woman for life.  Our graduates have gone on to form clubs, start their own blogs, be guests on radio programs and write for established internet outlets.

This year our conference is in a beautiful San Diego resort, the Town and Country. We’ll be hosting about 35 students and a dynamic panel of speakers.

It is amazing that such a conference should be necessary, but since in our present times, it definitely is, how wonderful that such well-qualified presenters should offer such an important event for young adults.

    • In other words, bigot-fest. Sounds like a grand time to be had by all!!

      • Maryanne Leonard says:

Peter, I can’t say I recall ever having read a comment of yours that was not hateful. You continue to prove yourself an anti-Catholic, a promoter of homosexual causes, and a troll on this site. Even your name is disgusting, as you insist on using the lower case rather than presenting your name as a proper noun, capitalized, and thus you are using a common vulgarity as a so-called name for yourself.

I’m wondering what causes you to come onto this site except to try your best to infuse filth and degradation of the site and our traditional Catholic values. You will never succeed, try though you might, and I for one wish you would go away, or better yet, go to confession and confess your evil intent and actions, and try to become a follower of Jesus Christ before it is too late for you.

The gates of hell will never prevail against the Church founded by Our Lord, for which the great saint, St. Peter, was named first pope. I am afraid the gates of hell will prevail against you if you do not change your evil ways, but your evil prodding only serves to make it more difficult for us to put up with your repulsive behavior and to try to help you. Stop persecuting the Catholic Church and faithful Catholics here, Peter, or whatever your real name is. You are not getting away with anything, and you are not helping your cause; you are in fact hurting your own soul’s chances of redemption.

Please go away, please stop posting your comments here until you have cleansed your heart, your mind, and your behavior, and please do try to find it in your heart to follow the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late for you.

Just out of curiosity, when will the Vatican be acknowledging that in its power-sharing agreements with Mussolini, it was complicit with him in demonizing WWII-era homosexuals and getting them deported to concentration camps?

          • Maryanne Leonard says:

Where is your proof for these allegations? Have you read the recently scholarly books based on documented research into the countless ways Pope Pius XII did all he could to save people from the ravages of World War II and the likes of Mussolini and Hitler?
