The following comes from a July 6 SaveCalifornia.com email:

Thanks to an ultra-liberal Los Angeles Times columnist, here’s the inside scoop on how to defeat SB 128, the physician-assisted suicide bill up for a hearing Tuesday, July 7.

As revealed by George Skelton’s column, here are the 6 Democrats on the California Assembly Health Committee who don’t like SB 128:

1. Lorena Gonzalez of San Diego
(916) 319-2080
2. Jimmy Gomez of downtown Los Angeles
(916) 319-2051
3. Roger Hernández of West Covina
(916) 319-2048
4. Freddie Rodriguez of Pomona/Chino
(916) 319-2052
5. Miguel Santiago of downtown Los Angeles
(916) 319-2053
6. Sebastian Ridley-Thomas of Culver City
(916) 319-2054

Also call these 2 Republicans from San Diego County on the committee:

1. Brian Maienschein (916) 319-2077
2. Rocky Chávez (916) 319-2076

Do the math: If all 6 Republicans on the 19-member committee vote no, and at least 4 Democrats vote no or abstain, SB 128 will fail to achieve a majority vote and will instead be defeated, preventing California from becoming the Suicide State.

TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION — GO FOR THE WIN: Call these assemblymembers right now and say, “Oppose SB 128. This suicide bill will abuse the elderly and manipulate the weak and vulnerable. Please vote no!”

Also, if you are within driving distance and have the time, please attend Tuesday’s SB 128 hearing. Signs will be provided. Arrive early by 12 noon to stand in line so you’ll get a seat. The Assembly Health Committee meets in Room 4202 of the State Capitol in Sacramento. Please come and win for the sanctity of human life!
