Baby killing as environmental protection

Using a sneaky legislative tactic known as “gut and amend,” state Sen. Christine Kehoe has reintroduced a scaled-back version of a previously rejected bill that allows non-physicians to perform some abortions in California.

The bill, SB 623, was originally introduced in February 2011 as a measure to outlaw certain copper containing paints in marine areas. The state senate passed SB 623 on June 1, 2011 and sent it to the Assembly. But five days ago, on June 21, Kehoe amended the bill by gutting all references to copper-containing paints and substituting language regarding non-physician abortions.

Kehoe, D-San Diego, had originally introduced another measure, SB 1338, which would have allowed nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives and physicians assistants to perform uterine aspiration abortions. Backed by groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL, Kehoe claimed the bill was needed to increase access to abortion in California.

But SB 1338 ran into unexpected opposition when the powerful California Nurses Association came out against it, calling it “ill-conceived and unnecessary.” On April 26, Kehoe’s bill failed on a tie vote in the Senate’s Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee when two Democrats joined with Republicans in voting against it.

But Kehoe is apparently not willing to give up. By “gutting and amending” the marine paint bill, she is attempting to salvage at least part of SB 1338. Her latest version of SB 623 would extend a controversial pilot project at UCSF’s Bixby Center until Jan. 1, 2014. The pilot project permits some non-physicians to perform surgical abortions in what would otherwise be a violation of California law.

The extension is necessary, says the bill, “to maintain the competencies of clinicians trained to date and to authorize continued training of new clinicians while the larger peer review process is conducted, and because [the pilot project] is likely to increase the availability of safe, early abortion care that is limited in many areas of California.”

Pro-life organizations have been strongly critical of the UCSF pilot project, saying it places women’s lives in danger, that project participants are not adequately trained before actually performing abortions, and that the project’s funding is suspicious.

Gut and Amend???!!! How the heck can you essentially pass one set of laws and then replace the m with an entirely different set??? THAT’S FRAUD!!! This woman is evil through and through. The more I see from our State Politicians, the more I lose faith or desire to continue living here! I used to think these folks were elected into office by some means voter fraud and it there could not be that many ignorant fools in the state. Now I am leaning towards perhaps there actually are that many fools; CA is ultimately getting what it deserves by allowing these radical spawns of Satan to have power which they have used for nothing more than the distruction of this once beautiful state! St Michael guide the faithful to victory in ridding CA of such filth!

“The chickens have come home to roost’. California has killed its own children, the very ones who were supposed to support the citizens in their old age, since Roe vs Wade, now they are trying to support their huge pensions plans, etc. with foreign labor, while the cities are going broke One just filed for bankrupcy, yet many Californians have not learned yet. Kill your children, kill your future. Live like heathens die out of the grace of God.

Is this the future of health care? Can you picture this: THE STATE NOW HIRING. EXCELLENT PAY AND ADVANCEMENTS. Position-nurse-midwife. Hours: 40 hour week with retirement benefits. DUTIES: KILLING BABIES. Catholics need not apply.

Sneaky tactics work hand in hand with evil deeds. Christine Kehoe has sold her soul. Don’t judge a book by it’s smiling cover. She may look like a young smiling version of Andy of Mayberry’s Aunt Bee, but her heart is as cold as ice.

The procedure of using amateurs to dispatch human beings is time tested at places like Auschwitz when non-physicians were permitted to eliminate the ill or children with lethal injections. And China permits amateurs to perform abortions. That is another fine example of using non-medical personnel to eliminate unwanted life.

It is extremely troubling that our elected officials will stop at nothing in order to promote the killing of the unborn. I am horrified by this and I will pray for Sen. Kehoe’s soul. God Love You.

Sen. Kehoe’s deception is not surprising. As noted in past CalCatholic stories, she is one of the “gay” (lesbian) legislators and this group as a whole is always pro-abortion. Look at their voting records. Democrat self-professed “gays” must vote pro-abortion or they would be drummed out of the “gay” corps. Being pro-abortion they are always pro-Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood set up this bill using the illegal experience of their own employees in a “study” to allow non-physicians to legally murder babies, and so Kehoe et al are determined to get this bill into law to provide more “upward mobility” in the job market and greater reach geographically for the Planned Parenthood workers who have engineered this illegal program for their ultimate benefit. Aren’t we proud of the legislators we have elected in this State?

Kehoe and other legislators are so eager to kill preborn children that they are willing to risk women’s lives by allowing nurses to perform abortions. Even when an M.D. performs an abortion in a hospital, there is some risk to the life and health of the woman. These are the same pro-abortion people who demanded that women have abortions performed by an M.D. in a hospital. In California, there is no shortage of abortionists. What’s the rush about?

Have you looked into Planned Parenthood’s “telemed abortions”?

The Pro-Life community will be at the Capitol tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27th, to visit the legislative offices. Please meet at 10:30 am in the Rotunda area of the Capitol to join us. We especially need pro-life doctors, nurses, and women who have been hurt by abortion to come speak, along with a strong prayer team to accompany us. The bill was just referred to the Assembly Health Committee, so please call these members today, urging a NO vote on SB 623.

Gut and amend… sounds a lot like what happens to a woman’s body and soul during and after an abortion. I pray not for God’s wrath, as Canisius does, but for his mercy upon all of us for letting this happen.
